After a successful Mother's Day product shoot earlier in the year, last month we were back photographing a gift guide for Highpoint Shopping Centre in the lead up to Father's Day.
The brief
The online Father's Day Gift Guide required individual product shots, along with photos of grouped products to reflect different gift categories (gifts for the sporty dad or the fashion dad, for example). The style of the images was to be slick, vibrant, and colourful – they needed to really pop on the website and inspire users with ideas on what to get for hard-to-buy-for dads (which is most of them, let's be honest!).
On the day
With approximately 200 products to photograph, it was a busy day for our photographer. All of the photos were captured during an 8am–5pm photoshoot, which included set up. Efficiency as well as quality is top of mind when we have a large number of products to get through, so we had the camera tethered to a laptop for an instant review of the photos, which allowed for a quick selection of the final shots that needed to be edited.
A quick turnaround
In post-production editing, all images received colour correction, cropping, sharpening etc. and we also allowed for advanced editing where required, such as spot removal, and adjustment of colour, contrast, levels, and sharpness. We take pride in only delivering polished images of the highest standard, all within our agreed timeframe – in this case, two to three business days after the shoot.
We think the results speak for themselves, and we look forward to working again for Highpoint Shopping Centre in future!
